4 Antique RHC "Eulalia" Door Sets Knobs Plates Lock Key

Highly ornate, antique interior door passage sets made by “Reading Hardware Co.” during the late 1800’s. Each set consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 working key, 1 brass strike plate, and 1 spindle with 2 set screws. The knobs and escutcheons were originally copper plated, however, most of the copper wore off over the years. The amount of plating varies from part to part; see the last photo for a visual.

The knobs have an unusual, Art Nouveau style design called “Eulalia,” with scalloped edges and floral castings in the center. The plates have similar floral and foliage castings around their perimeter. The lock faceplate is smooth and undecorated.

The sets were salvaged from Southwestern Pennsylvania. They were found in great physical condition, but some parts were painted and all parts were dirty and heavily tarnished (see 2nd to last photo). Since then, we've cleaned and polished all parts allowing the full splendor of the details to show forth (see last photo).

All parts are in great shape with no breaks, cracks, chips, or dents. The locks were opened, inspected, and greased to function more smoothly. We made a key for each lock, and we could make additional keys for $6/key.
