This 4-bay enclosure has 4 hotswappable SATA racks installed. It provides a fast and easy way for PC or Mac users to add up to 4 additional SATA-II/SATA-I hard drives to their system with ultra-fast 4x Multilane (FOUR 3GB/S SATA CHANNELS) cabling system. A 4x Multilane cable and a RAID-5 PCI-X card are included. The sleek looking case features a 300w power supply with TWO high capacity QUIET cooling fans to keep the drives running cool.

RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 0+1 (mirrored-stripping), RAID 5 (Distributed Parity RAID) and JBOD (Just Bunch of Disks) manage multiple disk drives to enhance I/O performance and provide redundancy in order to withstand the failure of any individual member, without the loss of data.

High speed 3GBPS SATA connectivity makes this device great for graphic design, video and audio editing/backup and comes in a size to fit any type of storage requirement.
