This collet is great for close center distance on CNC swiss lathes or clearance problems with conventional tapping attachmetns. It is recommended that you use a bearing nut or coated nut to provide extra holding power of the collet in the collet pocket.

Program the machine 5% behind the recommended pitch feed of the tap to make the floting collet work. Return out of the tapped hole at 100%. Compatiable with the standard collet chucks for ER, DR, RD, ESX, BR or DIN 6499 collet pockets
