4 ~ RARE c1920 EAPG CHANDELIER GLASS Gas Electric Shades
RARE ~ EXQUISITE and ELEGANT EAPG Shades.
This elegant pattern appears to be a variant of the "CHANDELIER" pattern produced by the O'Hara Glass Company c1888 and the U.S. Glass Company c1891.
These four shades are all marked BRITE LITE on the fitter rim. The Brite Lite Company succeeded the Albert Lea Gas Light Company circa 1914 and lasted until circa 1920.
The large shades fitter (outside rim) measures 4" and they are 3 7/8" in height. There is a very small chip to one of the scallops (see photo) on one shade and there is some very minor roughness in a few spots on the inside of the scalloped rim, commensurate with age. Otherwise, damage free and in excellent condition for age.
The small shades fitter (outside rim) measures 2 1/8" and height is 4 1/2". Both in excellent condition free of any damage.
All shades have some normal signs of manufacturing for this era such as bubbles, straw marks and mold or seam marks/roughness.
