Clive Simmonds was a Norfolk born ( 1938) ceramic artist active in the 60s & 70s. He emigrated to Australia in 1978 and died in 1997. The tiles were found on a board (covering a fire place) in a 1950s house in Norwich that we moved into early 1990s. Originally we thought the tiles were decorated by Alan Wallwork, due to similarities in style, but the Norfolk link fits in with the artist being Clive Simmonds. We also have now been supplied with images from the artist's studio which verifies this.
Many thanks to fellow ebayers for helping us identify the artist.
