Four vintage pinecone men... ready to visit your Christmas Wonderland this year!
These are among some of the most unusual Christmas Pinecone Men that I've ever seen.
The guy on the far left is marked "Made in Western Germany" on the bottom. His base is micah flocked, his bag is crepe paper and he has a spun cotton face and cotton beard. His nose is missing the read covering to make it look like a berry. He measures over 2" in height.
The next figure is marked "Japan" on the bottom with a 10 cent marking. His base is sugar flocked and has spun cotton legs, lantern, head and hat (which are all one) and separated by a pipecleaner band and painted different colors. The beard is a little soiled and the nose has a flake off of it. What a charming old elf he is!
Next in line we have a tall elf marked "Japan" on the bottom. He has spun cotton boots, chenille legs, arms and beard, paper felt hat and a composite hand painted face. He's about 4" in height. He looks a little mischevious in nature.
The elf on the far right is really cute... He has spun cotton green carrot shaped legs with spun cotton head. His arms, beard and the Christmas tree he's holding are all of chenille pipecleaners. His hat is made of fabric. He's unmarked and may either be German or Japanese. He's very high quality so I'd almost assume that he may have been made in Western Germany also... but I cannot guarantee that.
I believe that these range in age from 1940's to 50's.
