1920's style gold and diamond engagement ring.  The prongs on this classic ring are well done.  The center stone is well protected in this classic illusion box design.  The diamonds in this yellow gold ring are accentuated by white gold surrounding the stones. The total weight of all stones is .44 carat.

Included with this exceptional engagement ring is the appraisal sheet that came with the ring when it was purchased from the estate section of Porter Jensen Jewelers in Seattle, WA.  It states a 1998 replacement value of $2,150.00 for this ring.  The appraisal reads:

One lady's 18kt and 14kt two-tone gold engagement style mounting.  The mount contains one(1) European cut diamond set in a white gold setting and measuring 4.70 to 4.60mm wide x 2.96mm deep with I color, SI2 clarity, and weight of .40 carats.  The mount also contains two (2) single cut diamonds metal set and measuring an average of 1.60mm W with a color average of H, clarity average of VS2, and total weight of .04 carats.  The mount with the stones weighs 3dwt.

The center diamond is at .4 carats, SI1/SI2 clarity.  It measures 4.65 mm in average diameter and 2.9mm depth.

The 2 side stones are diamonds, VS2 clarity, 1.60 mm average diameter.  Each side stone has a weight of  .02 carats.  The total weight of the 3 diamonds is .44 carats. 

 

Under ultraviolet light, the center diamond fluoresces a medium strong light blue.  This wonderful vintage estate engagement ring is believed to be from the 1920's.
