1. Issued by Gobierno Provisional de Mexico. 2 pesos. 1914. 185 x 81 mm.
2. Issued by El Estado de Chihuahua 20 pesos. One color was not printed on the front leaving a lot of white space. 1915. 186 x 81 mm.
3. Bank of Peninsular, Mexico. Merida, Nov 30, 1913 One peso. Woman left, sailing ship right. 153 x 70 mm.
4. Same as #3. Photo shows back of note.
These come from a very complex time in Mexican history when there were many armies vying for control. Many issued their own money and forced the civilians to take their money which became worthless when they moved on or another army moved in. What a story these notes could tell if they could talk. In U.S. postage and handling will be $1.25 Insurance if you want it, will be $1.65 or can be sent at your risk. Foreign $2.25 without insurance at buyer’s risk.
