• US international postal rates have gone up drastically for small insured packages under 4 pounds. It used to be possible to insure small packages in the letter packet class. This class of mail is now called First Class International and no longer insurable, leaving International Priority Mail (starting at $20 for one pound) as the only way to insure international packages.
• Please be aware that neither tracking nor insurance is available for International First Class Mail. Tracking and insurance are only available with International Priority Mail.
• I will ship by International First Class mailing for smaller packages, as long as you understand that the package will be shipped without insurance and you will get NO refund of ANY kind if the package is lost.
• For International Priority Mail, the starting price for a package up to one pound(.5 kilo) is $20. This is the lowest possible price for an International Priority Mail package, and is the only way to get insurance on an international package.
