 Description Shipping and payments

This is a wonderful '40s black straw tilt hat with a  high sloping  crown. The crown is 3 3/4" high, the brim is 1 1/2" wide and the diameter of the hat is approx.  6 1/4".  The blue  flowers WERE NOT original to the hat--I added them and they're tacked down--easily removed if the buyer so chooses. When I purchased the hat all of the original trim was missing.

There is no label.

Condition: The hat's in very good condition--I ADDED the flowers as previously mentioned--they're about the same age as the hat. There's some milliner's glue on some of the petals and also a bit of fading. There  are several marks on the straw--at the back of the hat--they appear as tiny scuffs--quite difficult to see. The hat had several tiny dots of what appeared to be glue at the back of the hat. I removed what I could and also  covered the areas with black fabric marker.  

Overall a very stylish hat of the World War II era---clean and ready to wear.
