A strikingly distinctive two button from Southwick in a medium natural shade with a touch of sage influence in the right light. It has a subtle herringbone type weave and it's overlaid with a windowpane of something in the taupe gold range. There's no content label, but it's clearly all silk or largely silk (though I don't pick up any signs of anything else). It's got a bit of sheen, some slubbing (bit no real chunky slubs), and hangs out beautifully in a light medium weight for all season wear.

If you're not familiar with Southwick, you should rectify that. Start with their website at http://www.southwickclothing.com). They're my favorite American maker (yes, that includes the "O" brand), but are largely underrated, especially on eBay, because they don't produce the volume of the bigger brands. That's because they run a national brand like a tailor shop - every cut and every stitch is done under their own roof.

It is a two button style, with notched lapels, full lining, flap pockets, and single rear vent. The three pocket interior features contrasting sleeve linings and sleeve guards at the arm openings.

This jacket is in New or Like New condition. It shows no signs of prior wear or cleaning. I HAVE had it professionally cleaned, though. I buy in bulk, so I have garments cleaned prior to to sale to account for careless handling, for moth control, and to press them.
