Garments from this label are designed by Giorgio Armani himself, producing very few of each style and are constantly featured on the fashion runways in Paris, Milano and New York. This is the line that you will see featured in Hollywood at their red carpet events.

Giorgio Armani continues to make clothing for his Black Label that test the boundaries of fashion with avant-garde designs that are so cool and always the talk of the fashion world. The fabric that Armani chose for this rare coat is composed of the finest dense 100% Baby Alpaca, woven in an overblown herringbone pattern. The weave has been made up of a heather mix of fibers consisting of shades ranging from Charcoal Gray to a Vicuña brown. This luxuriant fabric is both thick and warm yet surprisingly light in weight for its thickness. Alpaca is one of my favorite materials to have in a Great Coat. It has a texture that almost resembles fur rather the wool with a luster and softness not found in other fabrics making it perfect for a coat of this stature. Alpaca have been bred in South America for thousands of years ( Vicuñas were first domesticated and bred into alpacas by the ancient Andean tribes of Peru, but also appeared in Chile and Bolivia ) The Alpaca resembles a sheep in appearance, but is larger and has a long erect neck. Acknowledged by leading fashion designers the world over for its exceptionally long fibers with a silky quality, Pure Baby Alpaca from the high Bolivian plateau is exclusively selected by top designers for their highest-end garments. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas and unlike them are not used as beasts of burden but are valued only for their fiber (wool). Alpacas are kept in herds that graze on the level heights of the Andes of southern Peru, northern Bolivia, and northern Chile at an altitude of 3500 to 5000 meters above sea-level, throughout the year. This lustrous fabric is as fine as it gets as you would expect from Giorgio Armani Black Label.

This coats silhouette is both striking and so unique as only Giorgio Armani would produce for his Black Label. This is a tailored cut similar to designers like Tom Ford. It features many of Armani's couture elements including a 4-button single-breasted stance with a darted front and tapered waist. Other couture features include large, pointed notched lapels and high defined shoulders. Each sleeve is graced with 4 stacked buttons that are laid out in an overlapping, kiss formation. There are 2 exterior hip pockets cut perfectly into this coat to keep with its elegant clean lines. ( Pockets are still sown shut). In back you will find a 16"center back vent for comfortable walking and driving. Armani has designed this fabulous coat with lines that just flow from top to bottom. The interior is outfitted with Giorgio Armani's newest, tags including his large square Black Label. It also has its white fabric and size label stating that it is made from 100% Baby Alpaca is a size 48 Italian and that it was Made in Italy. Finally it has its black Giorgio Armani Corp. 114 5th Avenue NY. NY. and another black Armani fabric tag.
