This auction contains 5 pair of Vintage Chalkware Salt & Pepper Shakers.   Included are: Hound Dogs, White Cats, Blue Fish, Skunks and Grey Pigs.  These charming Chalkware Salt Shakers were made in the 1930's - 1940's. They all hand painted and were primarily used as decorations.  They all have a very small cavity which was either stoppered with a cork or covered with tape.  Chalkware is quite fragile, some of the shakers have small chips or paint flakes.  Overall they are in quite good condition.
