What sort of things should you look at for comparison when purchasing tattoo equipment?

• Look at the comparison photos to see how others measure up to ours.
• Experience of the manufacturer- Does the manufacturer have any personal knowledge of the art of tattooing, or do they merely export cheap knock-offs of equipment they do not even know how to use? Each of our employees has both experience and knowledge of the tattooing process and the equipment operation. An inexperienced person does not know the difference between a good product and one that resembles a good product. A person who has not used good equipment would not know or care about these differences. All they care about is the sale of products. We know the difference and want your repeat business. We sell only the best quality to assure that we will gain your confidence and your return business.
• Weight of power units- Our standard power unit weighs over 5lbs. A plastic clicker type power unit weighs under 1lb. Why is that important? The weight of the case is only one aspect of the difference. The real difference in weight is the transformer inside the unit and the other electrical components. A heavier transformer is designed for continuous use unlike the cheaper knock-offs. This is one huge difference you will notice immediately if you plan to do an tattoo that takes more than 5 minutes to complete.
• Workmanship or products- Production built products are usually produced by automated machines which have no eyes to notice defects. CUSTOM built products are built by hand which requires human eyes that constantly monitor the production process and find any defects before it is shipped. This human factor is very important in eliminating problematic conditions that affect the way the equipment performs. Automated machinery does not care if you get a defective product, but we do. We do not sell defective products. Every piece of equipment we sell is tested by a professional during the processing of your order just prior to packaging it for shipment.
• Trained professional vs. unskilled labor- A trained professional knows how to build the product they are manufacturing. An unskilled laborer works to make a paycheck, and may not even know how the product they manufacture actually works. Our power units and machines are built and hand tuned by professional tattoo artists who have a personal stock in our company. They care about the products we manufacture because QUALITY is one of our main concerns as it has a direct impact on our sales. An unskilled laborer is always one step away from their next job, and aren't going to scrap a piece of faulty equipment for fear of losing their job. Our employees are here because this company is their career. If they find a defective product you can bet the farm that it will not ship from our facility.
• American company vs. Foreign exporter- Pretty much a no brainer here, but here are some facts. An American company is much easier to deal with if you have a problem than an exporter. First of all, we speak English. If you don't understand why that is important just place a call to a foreign company and attempt to ask them any question. Good luck with that. There is also a huge difference in shipping costs in the event that they offer a warranty for the products they sell. In almost every warranty provision with any company you are required to ship the product back for repairs or replacement at your expense. If you think it costs a lot to ship something to another state, just check the charges and trouble to ship to another country. The reasons to buy from an American company vs. exporters would fill several pages, but these are a few of the important ones. Most important, buy from Americans to keep America strong. If you think for one minute the exporters care about you, just see how many of them will come to you to get a tattoo. • Pot Metal vs. Steel- Are you familiar with the term "pot metal?" Most export machines, expecially from China and Hong Kong, are made from pot metal. Foreign countries almost never use pure steel for their products because it costs too much. Every wondered how they can sell you three machines for less than one of ours? Pot metal refers to cheaper, impure metals which are melted together in a pot. This is also known as an alloy. Alloys are inferior metals which are cheaper to make and are not suitable for tattoo machines due to the magnetic qualities of the metal. Metals have qualities known as "memory" which affect the way a tattoo machine runs. We use Stainless Steel in our machines for the magnetic qualities it offers. Stainless is one of the purest metals available. It does cost more, but we don't mind paying the higher price because we understand what it takes to make a QUALITY TATTOO MACHINE. Most pot metal machines can be readily purchased for under $20. They are worth much less than they cost. You honestly do get what you pay for most of the time. Think about it.
