Coturnix Quail are a fast growing hardy birds. They are mature at 6 weeks of age and are laying eggs by 7 weeks of age. They are an excellent gamebird for meat and egg production.
Males are characterized by a rusty brown throat and breast feathers while the hens have a lighter cream colored feathering on the neck with black stripes and dotting on the breast.
Incubation procedures will depend on the type of incubator you use.. Follow your incubator manufactures directions. Natural incubation is also possible using Bantam hens. Corturnix hens rarely set their own eggs.

All eggs will be shipped using shipping foam which holds the eggs securely (There is a $17.50 charge for this foam in addition) Thats $3.50 for each set of foam which is my cost for the foam and shipping and handling. We have been haveing great success with the way packing.
Please note that eggs will not be gathered nor shipped until payment is received in full.
