Border shirts are some of the most striking Hawaiian shirts. This Anthurium Border  shirt is designed uninterruptedly up the front and sides. Finished with coconut buttons and matching pockets. 

Original date and make: Early 1950's Hawaiian Casuals.

Measurements: Med = Neck 15-15 1/2", Shoulders 19", Chest 44", Length 28 1/2", Sleeve length 24 1/2"

Brought to you by the Japanese company Toyo Enterprise, these new Sun Surf Hawaiian shirts are exact reproductions of the very collectible originals from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. They are so exact that the company had to begin printing its name right on the selvage because some people had put vintage tags on the reproductions, attempting to sell them at the high prices that the hard-to-find vintage shirts go for.
These new ones are made with care and know-how, resulting in a high quality and collectible Hawaiian shirt. Adding to the appeal is the fact that once the company stops making each style, they never make it again. They have double-welt seams, some shirts have exactly matched up pockets ( look closely at the pictures-can you even tell there is a pocket?), wooden buttons, and are made of vintage-feel soft rayon.
