Box of 51 HOLY CARDS

Vintage, new & never used, all the same - appear to be from the 50's or early 60's

I would guess that these were made to be handed out to Catholic schoolchildren at the end of the school year. Box is labelled "Children I.D.", Printed in Italy, edged in gold, made by Gerffert (?), Bonella-Milano, Italy.

Front: Drawing of Mary & Jesus & 4 children
(a white girl gathering flowers, a white boy & black boy building a wooden bridge together, and a black boy playing baseball) At the bottom there's a space for a child's name, address, city & state, and phone number

Back: Guide for a happy vacation (recite the rosary, assist at Mass, go to confession, be good to your parents, dress modestly, attend only A-1 movies and watch approved TV programs, etc.)

("A-1 movies" refers to the Catholic Legion of Decency movie rating system. It ended around 1964.)
