Background

This is the second version of the 5590BA battery adapter.  It's sized so that the internal space will accept a custom pack of twenty Sub-C Ni-MH batteries that are just stacked tightly, no special offsets are required.  The lid is easier to remove and install and the top is flat.  Black anodized aluminum construction.  The top has the battery connection diagram permently laser marked.  Short SuperFlex wires terminated with Power Pole connectors (TM Anderson Power Products) in the standard ARES configuration are inside the adapter.  Note two batteries are needed since the BA-5590/U type battery has two independent "12 Volt" sections.  This way you can get either a "12 Volt" or "24 Volt" battery depending on how the battery is wired by the using equipment.

Battery Options

I can supply for an additional $20 two strings of AA battery holders with Power Pole connectors.

You can have a custom battery pack made using the layout that comes with the 5590BAv2 adapter.  The pack shown above was made by Cheap Battery Packs and is not included with the adapter, just there to show how it looks.

Battery Eliminator

The empty 5590BAv2 box can be used as a socket in the useer equipment and power supplied to it using Power Pole connectors.  The recomended voltage is 15.0 VDC on each pair since this is the voltage of a fresh BA-5590/U and provides the highest output power.
