TO 100% RESTORE A B3 THERE ARE THINGS LIKE FELTING UNDERNEATH THE KEYS WHICH I'M NOT QUALIFIED TO DO. ALTHOUGH I HAVE DONE LOTS ALREADY, IF YOU WANT THIS ORGAN TO BE JUST LIKE NEW, THERE ARE OTHER THINGS WHICH COULD STILL BE DONE TO MAKE IT JUST LIKE IT WAS IN '58 WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY - THESE SHOULD BE DONE BY A HAMMOND TECH OR EQUIVALENT. IT WAS YELLOW WHEN I ACQUIRED IT & THOUGHT WHITE WOULD LOOK MUCH BETTER. WHILE SANDING & REMOVING PARTS TO CLEAN I KEPT HITTING A CREAMY WHITISH COLOR. MANY OF MY ASSOCIATES HAVE SEEN IT & CAME UP WITH THE CONCLUSION IT WAS WHITE WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY. I MADE SOME CALLS TO HAMMOND SUPPLIERS & WAS TOLD WHITE WAS RARE & MOSTLY SHIPPED TO ENGLAND. SOME SAY WHITE NEVER EXISTED SO IT'S UP TO YOU. I'M SELLING "AN ORGAN" - NOT A COLOR. THE FOOT PEDAL WOODS SHOW A SMOOTH HARD CREAMY IVORY COLORED ENAMEL PAINT STILL MOSTLY INTACT WHICH COULD BE THE ORIGINAL PAINT. I LEFT IT UNPAINTED AS A NOVELTY. SAME STORY WITH THE BENCH. I SPRAYED JUST THE BENCH W/PAINT STRIPPED & IVORY COLORED HARD WHITE PAINT WAS UNDERNEATH. NOW, AS FOR THE NEW PAINT JOB IT WAS DONE CAREFULLY BY MYSELF & IS NOT PICTURE PERFECT (AS A BODY SHOP COULD DO) BUT IT IS CLEAN & LOOKS PRETTY GOOD. IT CAN BE RECOATED AS MANY TIMES AS DESIRED TO ACHIEVE ANY DESIRED FINISH, THAT'S UP TO THE INDIVIDUALS TASTE. THE ORGAN IS NOT THAT BIG & AND EACH COAT OF PAINT TAKES JUST A FEW HOURS TO APPLY DOING A GOOD JOB.
OPTIONAL LESLIE 122 INFO: OVERALL VERY ATTRACTIVE. SOUNDS SMASHING & WORKS PERFECT. GONE THROUGH THOROUGHLY. HERE'S THE ONE SLIGHT FLAW- ALTHOUGH IT'S NOT NOTICABLE FROM THE FRONT VIEW, THERE'S A SLIGHT RIPPLE/BUMP ON THE LESLIE'S (LOWER LEFT) SIDE WALL. IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAD BEEN EXPOSED TO MOISTURE AT ONE TIME(ABOUT 3" WIDE & 1/2" OUT). I PULLED THE LAMINATE WOODS BACK AROUND THIS AREA & REGLUED ALL AREAS & USED BRAD NAILS THEN COUNTER SUNK THEM (TO ACT AS VICE) WHILE CURRING. IT IS ROCK SOLID AGAIN. THE WOODEN ROTATING LESLIE DRUM I REMOVED & THREW OUT - IT WAS SHOT. SOME SAY WITH THE LOWER ROTATING DRUM OUT THE CAB SOUNDS BETTER(NO CHOPPED UP LOW NOTES)? OTHERS LOVE THEM FOR THE LOW CHOPPY BASS. I GUESS THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT STYLE MUSIC YOUR PLAYING. IF DESIRED THE DRUMS TAKE JUST MINUTES TO INSTALL & EBAY IS USUALLY LOADED WITH THEM FOR $40-70 DOLLARS EACH

THE 2 REMAINING OLDER OUTPUT TUBES (6550's) WERE FINE #10 LESLIE 122 AMP WAS SERVICED/OVERHAULED 10 YEARS AGO & STORED TILL A FEW MONTHS AGO. IT NEEDS NOTHING DONE #11 JENSEN DRIVER TAKEN APART, CLEANED & LUBED #12 TREK II & VINTAGE 60's FISHER REVERB RELOCATED TO THE BELLY (UNDERCARRIAGE) OF THE B3 TO KEEP INSIDES UNCLUTTERED & EASY FOR A TECH TO SERVICE WHEN NEEDED. IT HAS WORKED OUT GOOD THIS WAY. #13 LESLIE 122 SEALED DRUM BEARINGS HAVE BEEN STRIPPED & REPACKED. #14 THE ORGAN HAS BEEN OILED PROPERLY (IN OIL TRAYS) WITH THE CORRECT HAMMOND OIL #15 DRAW BARS CLEANED & OILED #16 B3 DOES COME WITH THE ORIGINAL BENCH, FOOT PEDALS & ORIGINAL SPEAKER CORD (20-30') LONG #17 ALL EXTERIOR BRASS & COPPER SCREWS + BOLTS ON B3 REMOVED CLEANED/POLISHED (NO PAINT ON THEM) NOW, ATTRACTIVE DEEP GOLD #18 VOLUME EXPRESSION ROD (LONG) PAINT REMOVED & POLISHED BACK TO 100% BRASS (DONE AFTER PICS WERE TOOK)SAME WITH BOLT/SCREWS #19 THE HANDY CANVAS CARRY STRAPS ON THE 122 CAB ARE HELD ON BY NEW (HEAVY DUTY) STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE
