A Linear Polariser Filter is used to reduce or remove reflections and glare. Enhances the blueness of the sky in landscape shots.
It is more effective with telephoto lenses than standard lenses. When used with wide angle lenses the Polarizing effect can be uneven.
The Polariser can be rotated to determine the direction and amount of reflection to be removed.
