Gold plated connectors – What’s the point in a high quality cable if the signal is not transferred properly? The connectors on this cable are solid brass conductors with 24 carat gold plating. These cables don't have a lacquer protection because they do not need it (the gold will not tarnish). 24 carat gold achieves better conductivity when lacquer is not in use and provides a purer signal transfer.
Connector shell - Robust metal outer casing that is also colour coded!
Fibre Tip Protectors - This optical cable comes with tip protectors which protect it and give the cable a long life and good quality transmission.
Cable strain relief to protect the cable - Enables the optical cable to be bent in a multitude of directions without breaking, unlike many poorer quality optical cables sold by different companies.
Double layer dielectric material used - The signal is as isolated as possible so the quality is not affected. Due to the optical cables being digital and the signal transfer being light, interferance such as EMI and RFI is not present. Ground loops are also eliminated.
Function - This optical cable transfers the audio between 2 devices. For example, this could be the output from a PS3 to the input of an amplifier. The cable works with all devices that have optical outputs and inputs that use the TOSlink connector.
