5x7/4x5 Durst professional enlarger. This is one of the best enlargers ever made. It is very solid, well engineered, precise, and capable of producing stunning prints. It is a large floor standing enlarger that includes an adjustable wooden printing table that can be tilted for perspective control, and lowered almost to the floor for larger prints. The table can also be finely adjusted so that it is parallel with the negative for sharper prints. The enlarger comes with the Nega 138 glass negative holder, for any film size up to 5x7". The negative holder keeps the negative extremely flat. The enlarger includes the original condenser head with 3 lens turret, four individual condensers (Latico 85, 130, 200, 240) for prints from 35mm to 4x5, the printing table, foot pedal that releases the table, and instruction manuals. Also, I have four original bulbs for medium and large format prints, and a smaller bulb for 35mm. I will also include a currency control unit. This enlarger is in very good condition. The foot pedal does have some minor rust on it, from a wet darkroom floor, which you could remove with steel wool. I am only selling the enlarger because I do have not have time to use it. The enlarger is labeled "Durst Laborator S-45 Special," and is the same as the Laborator 138 S. The instruction manuals that came with the enlarger are those for the 138 S. Durst marketed the S-45 to hospitals, which extensively used 4x5 film. If you intend to print 5x7 film you will need to obtain one more 240 condenser, but those are frequently available on ebay. This is a very large and heavy enlarger. I hope that the buyer will come pick it up. I live in the Seattle area, which is a great place to visit particularly in July and August.
