We are always asked, "What is the difference between Zinc, Hemp and Cotton Core Wicks"? The main difference is the burn rate, put in simple terms a Hemp Core wick does not burn as hot as Zinc and a Cotton Core wick is the hottest of all. Then you have sizes, do NOT go by the lenght of the wick, but by the diameter of the candle you are making. If you are making soy candles, I perfer the cotton core wicks - but that is a personal preference and not carved in stone for everyone. Wicks take a lot of testing and how a candle burns depends on factors such as the brand of wax you are using, fragrance oils, addiitives, dyes, etc.
These are 6 inch Cotton Core Wicks with 20mm for use with 3.25 to 3.5" containers or pillars. Designed to be used with paraffin or soy. This size can be cut to perfect length to fit your candle.
