6.61 ct Sapphire 2.43 ct Diamond Platinum Ring $52,150

The item for sale is a VERY gently used 6.61 ct. Sapphire and 2.43 ct. Diamond Ring. This ring was purchased NEW by my grandmother. I recently inherited it, however, I normally don't were rings since I have small children. I am a watch and earring type of woman. I had this ring appraised by Mayors Jewelers on 7/19/08. In the appraisal it reads:

One lady's platinum (stamped) and gemstone fashion ring featruing one (1) faceted oval cut natural sapphire, measuring approximately 10.45 x 8.78 x 7.48mm, weighing approximately 6.61 carats, displaying medium-dark tone, very strong slightly violetish-blue color with slight inclusions. This sapphire is surrounded by twenty (20) tapered baguette cut diamonds, with an estimatd total weight of 2.43 carats, of an overall approximate VVS-2 clarity and E/F color average. These stones are prong set in a brightly polished traditional sytle, oval "Pinwheel" design ring mounting (7.60 DWT).

This ring has a sapphire and diamond total carat weight of 9.04. The appraisal amount for this ring is $52,150.00. I will include all of the paperwork received from the appraisal. This ring is stunning. In MINT condition! It reminds me of a Princess Diana style ring. It is very elegant. The setting is timeless and enhances the overall appearance of the large sapphire. It looks so much bigger and brighter in person than in the pictures. I am starting the bidding at 1/3 of the original appraisal amount. Buy it for yourself to resell or for investment.
