A string of 6 lovely antique Venetian made glass beads from the African trade, dating from the late 1800's to the early 1900's more or less with fancy patterns that are usually referred to as "Baoule Face beads", because the pattern somewhat resembles a face. The condition is very good to excellent (these beads came from a very old collection and all of the beads were first quality), showing the lightest of age and wear overall, about 16 mm in diameter and 16 mm through the stringing hole. These are without a doubt the best overall quality beads of this type that I have seen in some time.
Please note that most of the photographs have been enlarged, and may look larger than the size of the actual items. Also, colors may appear somewhat different in the viewers computer than the item is in person. |
