You are bidding on 6 Chairs made by Chair Master Inc. Brooklyn New York. These are Solid Oak Arm Chairs made in the 1940s. The manufactures' label was saved on the bottom side of one chair..They are in excellent condition with the old original finish with big wide seats. The seats are all tacked with large silver Head Tacks. The backs are woven with thick pieces of leather like material matching the seats and held to the top and sides with large silver head nails. The seats are all in excellent condition except one has some cracked areas and does not take a way from the quality..Please refer to the photos. The surface cracks do not go through to the stuffing. The wood is a beautiful rich Oak. The finish is wearing in some areas on the arms and legs..This would be expected of chairs dating 1940s. They are quality made with wonderful deep colors and nice stitching. The stretchers are carved out on both sides of each chair to make it look like slight curves in the wood..This is a nice look. All the wood is in wonderful conditon. The underside of the chairs have huge bolts and nuts holding the legs to the frame of the seat. This is a nice quality set of arm chairs..The tag reads horse hair and hog hair..I would guess this is in the cushions. The chairs are made by a company out of New York called "Chair Master Inc". These would make a wonderful set for your kitchen or Den...They only need some light cleaning if you like the vintage look you are in the right auction.
