5 out of 5 They stalk on spiderlike legs wearing jeans tighter than an old woman's wrinkled shoes. As they are the scourge of Starbucks baristas, so also Hipsters are the bones of this novel, but don't for a minute assume they're the flesh of it. Rayo Casablanca's debut is as dark as it is hilarious, as encapsulating as it is clever. He leads us by the hand so charmingly through places so noir their bars sell bourbon on tap and we're left smiling deftly with two toddler steps after each of his morbid strides. From Paleontological pornography to a gangster called "Tank the Niggatron", 6 Sick Hipsters leaves no stone unturned and when you're not laughing out loud you're silently nodding with a half-shameful envy. Aside from the vinyl and drainpipes the novel stipulates pop-culture trivia like monastic creed and at a swollen and malformed range accepted only by the vicious trend setters themselves. From Thomas Pynchon to The Sisters of Mercy, 6 Sick Hipsters swells with allusions, but ultimately the novel's charm comes from the juxtaposition of iniquitous comedy, sly satire and a subculture fetish, and by his good graces does he do it well. All in all a funny, dark and clever debut.

Shipping & Handling

All shipping and insurance charges are on a per item basis and can not be discounted. Please see our Preferred Customer Rewards for the discounts we do allow for.

The handling portion includes the cost of labor, shipping supplies, fees and other costs associated with getting your order delivered to you.

U.S. shipments will be sent Media Mail & will take 4-15 business days to arrive from the ship date. Alaska and Hawaii can take up to 40 business days to arrive. This is our only method of shipping.

International orders ship DHL and will take 9-30 business days from the ship date. Any duties, tariffs or other government fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Tracking is not available for International shipments.

Items returned as undeliverable due to a bad or incorrect address will be refunded less shipping & handling charges, restocking fees and a return postage fee of $3. This will also apply to shipments that are refused.*

Returns

Any item may be returned within 7 days of receipt of order (we will use the delivery confirmation date) provided the item is returned in the original new condition, unopened and undamaged. Security tape and shrink wrap on DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, video games, software and vinyl records must not be torn or tampered with. Return shipping charges, initial shipping charges, insurance charges will not be reimbursed and a 50% restocking fee will apply. Please allow for 30 days from the time we receive the item back for the refund to be issued. If we have shipped the wrong item please contact us first at support@megamediadepot.net for instructions. We are not responsible for mistakes by the Post Office. We also suggest you buy insurance and use delivery confirmation on all returns. Please note this expense will not be reimbursed. We also will not be responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.*

No tracking is available for international orders at this time.

All delivery confirmation numbers are issued and emailed direct to you.

Insurance is mandatory for shipping and is charged per item ($1.65 for domestic and $2.00 for International). This means that the risk of loss, damage and not receiving your items will be covered after the listed time frames have passed. Please review these timeframes listed above.

All insurance will cover your shipment for the full amount of your item against lost, stolen or damaged items during delivery. If delivery is confirmed by the carrier, you will need to contact your local carrier who will have knowledge of where your package was delivered. Any and all confirmed deliveries will not be covered under this insurance. If the tracking number is in the USPS system the refund will not be issued to allow more time for delivery.

Any items damaged in transit will have to be returned to us for inspection before any refund.

*All refunds regardless of the payment method used by the buyer will be issued via paypal to the email address used to place the order.
