This is a brand new fluorescent ring light: This outstanding Variscope ring light is brand new. This is a top quality microscope accessory and your satisfaction is guaranteed. Adds Great Functionality to your Stereo Microscope: This ring light provides even, cool white light to the observation area with 60 individual LED bulbs -- and is a critical component for stereo microscopes on "boom" type mounts. The ring light attaches directly to the objective turret of any Variscope Brand microscope. The thumb screw attachments mean you can remove the ring light in seconds, with out detaching the entire mount. Adjustable Light Output: This model ring light features an adjustable light source. You can operate the ring light with 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or all the bulbs lit, and in a choice of 7 different light intensities. This allows you to vary the brightness over a vast range of intensity. At a standard 100mm working distance, this ring light outputs a range from 500 to 25,000 lumens of light. Exceptionally Long Life: LED bulbs last for about 100,000 hours of use. That is more than 11 years of continuous operation. You will likely never need to change a bulb or replace this unit for the life of your microscope. 100-220V Transformer: The power adapter with this ring light includes a transformer that allows the use of this light with of either 110v (USA) or 220v (Europe) without a transformer. The plug is a USA-type plug, but this ring light can be used world-wide with a simple plug adapter -- no power transformer is required.
