6072A GE pair, Black Ridged Plate, 12AY7 6072, NOS/NIB

This auction is for 2 EA. NOS/NIB GE JAN 6072A Medium Mu dual triodes which were tested on a Western Electric (Hickock) KS-15750-L2 (ruggedized Hickock 539C) tester for shorts, gas, life, microphonics/noise and transconductance; these tubes tested as expected (brand new). All the tests were passed with flying colors. These valves have matching date codes of 71-20/72-17 and were made at the GE MPD plant in Owensboro KY. They have thick double mica construction with black ribbed plates and top mounted halo getters, the getter flashing looks full and bright with no signs of milkiness. They match both physically and electrically to each other. The 6072 is a better than original equivalent to the 12AY7, it is also used in place of 12AT7, 12AU7, 12AX7 & 12DF7. The 6072/A valve is used in the AKG C12 and C24 microphones, Manley reference microphones, Universal Audio 610/2-610 preamps and the Fender Tweed Amplifier to name just a few potential applications.
