How dew forms?
When air temperature drop to a certain point at which moisture in the air condense on cool surface. The temperature when dew start forming is called the dew point. The condensed moisture as water droplet is dew. Dew is what prevents you from enjoying star gazing with you telescope at cold nights. How does Dew Shield Work?
Dew Shield traps stagnated air in the front of the telescope. The temperature of the stagnate air is slightly higher and prevents dew from forming. This slight different in temperature is enough to stop the dew from forming.

Dew shield can also be use as a lens shade to blocks stray light from entering the telescope. Stray light lowers the contrast of the viewing image. This is especially obvious and important in daylight torrential viewing.

Advantages of our flexible dew shield

Our flexible dew shield is made of black close cell foam rubber material which is oil resistant, ozone resistant and fire retardant.

The close cell foam rubber sheet a very good insulator which will maintain temperature much longer that other plastic material.

The non-reflective flat black matt surface is essential to eliminate glare cause by stray light.

The close cell foam rubber material is 3/16" thick, light weight, yet firm and rigid to maintain cylindrical shape.

What is the disadvantage of other dew shield?

I bought a dew shield that is make of flexible ABS plastics. This dew shield works well except that I have no where to store it. It can be lay flat when not in use. However, it is too long laying flat, too bulking when rolled up. It will not fit in my telescope hard case. There is no good way to store this dew shield. I end up leaving this dew shield when I take the telescope on trips. Lastly, the edge of the dew shield come apart when I roll up the dew shield tight.

Other dew shield that is make of flexible plastic do not have a matt interior surface and would reflex stray light and total defeat the purpose of have a dew shield shield.

U.S. buyer pays $8.00  for U.S.A. shipping.   International shipping: $14.00 worldwide. Insurance is always included to protect lost or damage of your purchase in transite.

Actual shipping cost is more than the postage indicated on the package.   Actual shipping cost is not just the postage or carrier cost.  Actual shipping cost also include insurance ($1.70 for up to $50.00), confirmation ($0.70), packaging material (including but not limited to packing box, bubble wrap, bubble envelope,  peanuts and tapes) and a small handling fee.  Seller may be self-insured for small items and may not not reflect on the postage or package.  Please do not bid if you do not agreement with the shipping cost.  Shipping cost is not refundable.

Return Policy:
All sales are final unless the item is not as described.  Item Shipping cost is not refundable under any circumstances. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost of non-defective returns. 

Defective item will be replaced upon return of the defective item at seller's cost.  Please follow sellers return shipping instruction.  Seller will not paid for expenses other than those called for in the return shipping instruction.

Shipping:
Seller will only ship to your Paypal shipping address.  No exception.  Please do not email me to request to have the item send to another address.  Please make sure your address in Paypal is correct.   It is your responsibility to keep your Paypal address current.  You will be responsible for additional handling fee and shipping cost if your Paypal shipping address is wrong.

Seller only ship on Tuesday and Friday of each week.  Your package will be shipped via either first class mail or priority mail within three business days no matter what day of the week you win the item.  Business days are Monday through Friday, not including holidays. Packages are prepared the night BEFORE shipping day of the week.  If your payment is not received by 6:00PM the day BEFORE the shipping day, your package will go out on the NEXT shipping day.  You should recieve your package within 7 business days of shipping the scheduled shipping day.  Please email me if you do not receive your package after 10 business days.

Combined Shipping:
Combined shipping is offered if your item ends with three days of each other. 99% of my items are on ebay EVERYDAY.

Please use the following rules to calculate combined shipping cost:
1) Use the highest shipping cost of all the items as the base shipping cost.
2) Add 50% of shipping cost for each additional item to the base shipping cost. 

Example:
Shipping cost of three items: $5, $7.50, $5.00

Base shipping cost (Highest of all items) = $7.50
Additional items (50% or each additional items) = $2.50 + $2.50 = $5.00

Total shipping cost = $7.50 + $5.00 = $12.50 

Please add the total combine shipping cost to your total wining bids yourself.
