From the outside many generators look the same. When you take a closer look under the hood and inside the enclosure you notice a huge difference between an Aurora Generator and any other. Read on and you will see why so many feel Aurora generators are the best on the market. 

What makes an Aurora Generator so different from all the other brands?  It's simple. Aurora generators and its partners manufacture their own products. Every single component has been tested and carefully selected to meet their higher standards. Those components are used to manufacture the engines and alternators from the ground up. Not from joining brand A engine to brand B alternator and putting brand C sticker on it.

Quality costs more but don't let price fool you. Just because someone charges more does not make the product any better.   Look under the hood and ask lots of questions.  Most sellers will never show you what we do nor have they been around as long as we have.   Most of our customer feedback is from real generator owners. This panel design is very simple and easy to use. Other then the digital hour meter there is nothing complicated that can fail and would be difficult to service no matter where you are located. Even if you lost the included remote control it can be operated with the key switch and the remote unplugged to return it to basic operation. The key switch has a position for cold starting. Our engines have a glow plug that preheats the block and air mixture to make starting easier.

Higher quality vibration proof volt meter and hour meter is used.  Our panel includes a 30 amp 120 volt outlet many prefer to use for hook up to their home, RV, truck and cabin for more power then traditional wall outlets can provide.

The enclosure is built stronger then any other of its kind and will outlast any other guaranteed. You can stand on it and it will not dent. Others with rounded edges thin sheet metal to cut costs. Baked on poly coated paint helps prevent scratches and corrosion. You can see the difference in paint quality. This generator is often available in Yellow, Red, Black and Blue. There is no need for complete enclosure disassembly with this product when basic adjustments to the engine, bleeding the fuel line or accessing the decompression lever is required. Aurora Generators have a hood on top of them to make access easier.   It is like the hood of your car. Others who don't include this are simply cutting down on costs.  It is like servicing your care without opening the hood. Under this hatch is the decompression leaver, fuel line, fuel injector and rocker cover that needs to be removed from time to time to make basic adjustments. How can you do this without it? 

On the left is an Aurora Remote Control Receiver and Control Board. On the right is the cheaper version others use.  First you should  notice others use small 20 amp relays. Aurora uses 30 Amp Relays. The higher rating help insure you don't burn out a relay when starting like so many other do. Also no chips are used on other receivers. Aurora has 3 that are used for the logic and timing of functions like cranking.  Many burn out starters with their cheaper remote often because they don't detect engine RPM ( If it is started or not) and don't know when to disconnect. They depend on a capacitor / resistor timing circuit. Those are very inaccurate in this application because the battery voltage really drops during cranking and in cold weather. 

Many other remote are hardwired and can't be removed. Aurora remotes as you see below can easily be removed and replaced if necessary. We can also match your transmitter to your receiver if you ever lose your remote or need a spare one.  You can't do this with others. 

Our wheels are 7" in diameter and use ball bearings resulting in a larger ground clearance. You will love just how easy it is to move the generator out of your garage, shed or driveway. Those smaller wheels others use often get stuck on grass, small pebbles and uneven pavement. We know, we used to to use them and quickly switched to larger 7" wheels.

Exclusive to Aurora Generators is our added fibreglass sleeves used for additional protection on most of the wiring.  Special braided fiber glass sleeves help protect wiring from oil, heat and fire. You will not find this on the replica generators. This exclusive wiring method used by Aurora Generators only.

Many other generator brands use Copper Clad Aluminum Wiring (CCA Wiring) CCA wiring is cheaper then copper. It is an aluminum wire core coated with copper. You don't know you have it until it fails. Many of the dealers have no idea their products even have them because they do not manufacture their own alternator and unsuspectingly end up with a cheaper product.  In some applications this type of wiring is acceptable. It reduces the cost and weight of materials. We never use CCA. It has a history of failing in many other generators over time and will become brittle and frail. Aurora only uses copper wiring.  

The voltage regulator is the most common component to fail in enclosed generators. But not ours !

Look at the photo below. It shows a melted alternator voltage regulator from another brand generator. We see this all the time and is the most common replacement part we sell to owners of other brand generators.  The cause of failure is excessive heat. The unprotected wiring others use gets brittle, frail and in many cases melts.  Repair is difficult in cases like this. Special tools are needed and removal of mufflers, control panel, fuel tank and the whole enclosure is required.

You never have this problem with an Aurora Generator because our voltage regulator is mounted outside of the alternator. Better air flow and protected wires  insure it last a lot longer then any other brand.

Only Aurora Generators installs the voltage regulator OUTSIDE of the alternator. All others mount them inside the alternator.  

When you run this generator you will be amazed at just how quiet it is for a diesel. We all call them silent but it is not silent. They are however a lot quieter then traditional open frame type generators. Ours is even quieter then others who enclosed theirs and here is why. We use two high quality mufflers and a catalytic converter. The exhaust is clear and cool. Emissions are cleaner then from a gasoline generator and are safer for the environment. Stinky black smoke something you should only see on other generators. (All will smoke for a few seconds when starting ) There is no quieter diesel generator like this on the market. Noise level is measured at the standard 23 feet and less then 69 db. Others will give you all sorts of different figures but unless they can show you what we do, don't trust them.  

We further reduce noise levels by insulating our engine compartment and exhaust system enclosures. The material has 4 different layers. First is a wire mesh, second is fibreglass, third is additional insulating material and the fourth is more fibreglass with a adhesive backing.  It is fire proof, heat resistant, and noise canceling.   Note others will never show you what material they use and if you could see it you will find they use aluminum foil tape to cover much cheaper material.  

Because Aurora Generators and their partners manufacture their own products, every single part is carried and always in stock. Delivery is direct to your home. There is no extra charge for a lift truck and there is no heavy lifting required. Your shipping charges are used to contract a freight company to safely deliver your product to your home. For most parts of the USA delivery is 2 - 5 days.  If the delivery is to a home then the shipping company is requested to call you first and make sure your there. I'll forward you the company name and tacking number so you can have some notice.  Please insure you have supplied me with a valid contact phone number.

If you are in what the fright companies consider a remote or hard to access area like a farm or dead end road then there could be an additional cost involved. There is also an option to ship to a freight terminal where you can pickup to reduce or eliminate any extra charges if they quote us too high of a shipping cost to a remote area. There are no surprises or hidden fees like with so many other sellers. If you feel you can get a better rate or wish to pickup from us that is also fine.

If using PayPal to pay for your order we can only ship to your registered confirmed address. A signature is required and a tracking number is always provided.

You are buying a new item only. Never used, never resold or returned. It must arrive in the same perfect condition it left here in or you are required to refuse it. Do not accept any shipping damage. Do not sign or accept delivery if it is not perfect. Your refusal to accept it will put the responsibility on the shipping company to fix any issues you may have. Open it up and inspect it. If you do accept something that is damaged in shipping then it will be your responsibility to make a claim with the shipping company within 48 hours. Please notify us as soon as possible.

Diesel generators are complex pieces of machinery and are not maintenance free. They do fail just like any other product can fail but unlike gasoline engines they are much easier to service. Most service you can do on your own. This generator comes with an Aurora 1 Year / 1000 Hour warranty. The  warranty covers parts and labor it does not cover shipping. Just like a car, your generator also has a maintenance schedule that needs to be followed. There is required oil changes and adjustments that need to be done from time to time. If you are not able to perform your own service then you may be required to hire a professional. Following recommended procedures will help insure generator longevity and may be required to satisfy warranty policies. Contact me for complete warranty, website and support information. Please note that there is no warranty on, fuel pumps and fuel injectors.  Damage from lack of oil changes or commercial use for example.  All air cooled generators are intended for personal residential type use and should last you 1500 - 3000 hours with proper care.  Mounting the generator on a vehicle, using it for a home off the normal power grid or farm use for example is not considered residential use. If you need a generator to run full time you should be looking at a water cooled engine not an air cooled engine.

If you are going to hook up your generator to your home then you need to do it right. Stay away from generators that come with an Automatic Transfer Switch or even the connections for one. 

The transfer switches anyone includes are very cheap and are of no value in North America. They can not handle the power our homes here use. 

The China made transfer switches have no UL or CSA approval and hooking them up to your home can be disastrous and in many cases illegal. In case of fire your insurance policy will be voided. Just pick up the phone and call ANY electrician and they will tell you to stay as far away from those generators as possible. 

I am also Reliance Transfer Switch Dealer and have many proper electrically approved ones available or you can pick one up at your local big box hardware store.

CE Approval - CE is a European standard and it carries no weight in North America however many will tell you they follow this standard so buyer beware. It is nothing they should be proud of.

EPA certified - EPA stands for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Any product imported into the USA must meet EPA standards or it never gets into the country. It is for pollution and emissions and all engines have them so don't be surprised by the buzz words. It does not speak for quality in anyway.

UL Listed - Just because a few parts have the UL logo on them does not mean the generator or the transfer switch is approved by Underwriters Laboratories. In fact there are many low quality parts that come out of China with logos on them they have no right to use. We encourage you to investigate false claims by contacting the UL at 1-877-854-3577  Some sellers claim to be UL "LISTED"  we strongly encourage you to spend a few moments and search the UL online database or call the number provided before you spend any money and check for yourself.  We assure you others have no UL approval at all.
