He
makes it all so easy that even I can learn to be a CNC programmer!
7
Easy Steps to CNC Programming. . .
A
Beginner's Guide
By
David Hayden
A
complete step-by-step course in beginning CNC programming!
If
you own or work in a shop that cuts metal and you don't know how to program
CNC or have to communicate with those who do, this book was written for you!
You
can spend countless hours sitting in some college classroom if you've got
the time or you can hire someone to come to your shop and teach you if you've
got the money, or you can go to one of those "seminar" type courses
if you have the time and the money, or you can get this easy step-by-step
book and learn it quickly for pennies and at your own pace and on your own
time schedule!
Dave's
book makes it easy and quick to learn how to program your CNC lathe or mill
at your own pace, whenever you have a little time. No class schedule to keep,
no expensive instructor to pay. Anybody can learn CNC programming with this
book, and quickly too!
CNC
programming is not rocket science! Dave has personally taught just plain folks
like you and me, (well, maybe just me!) to high level corporate types to write
programs unassisted in a matter of days.
It
doesn't take a lot of time to learn. It's really quite easy the way Dave explains
it in his book! It doesn't take a lot of money either! A few days with this
book will probably lead to a bigger pay check too!
Here's
what you'll learn:
O
CNC Machine G & M codes
O
CNC Machine coordinate systems
O The syntax or arraignment of the CNC
language
O
About CNC Machine positioning and interpolation
O
CNC Machine use of Cartesian/Rectangular coordinates
O
How to program the most common CNC Machine canned cycles
This
is a full beginner's course and workbook!
The
8 1/2" X 11" single sided pages have generous amounts of white space for jotting
down important notes, numerous self-evaluation tests so you can assess your
progress, a detailed table of contents for quick navigation and reference, a
detailed index of all CNC commands discussed, dozens of illustrations and examples
to clarify concepts and it's all spiral bound to lay flat on any surface, it's
a WORK - book!
Dave Hayden is highly qualified to produce such a book. What makes his book
so valuable is his grass roots, hands on perspective. He started in the shop,
running a machine. He started in the mid '70s as a machine operator running
a Warner-Swasey 1-SC NC tape lathe. It didn't take him long to see where the
future of machining was going! He studied every NC program he could get his
hands on and asked a lot of questions. Within a few months the shop's only NC
programmer quit. Dave was the only one in the shop that knew how to program
the lathe!
It's been 25 years since he taught himself to be an accomplished NC programmer.
Since then he has attended over 450 hours of specialized training involving
NC/CNC/CAM programming. In 1984 he developed and presented a CNC programming
course called "Fundamentals of CNC Programming." Using the course materials
he provided contract training services to a large machine tool reseller in Denver
Colorado. From the early 1980s on he rose from CNC programmer to Department
Supervisor to Operations Manager of small machine shops. At the same time he
completed his degree in Business Administration and taught part time at the
Denver Branch of National College.
Dave is currently the CAM System Administrator for a mid-sized turbo machinery
manufacturer in western Pennsylvania.
Dave offers a Certificate of Completion, for a fee, at the end of his course.
It's a real Certificate and to get it you have to pass a real Test which he
will send to you. All questions on the test are taken directly from the book.
You'll have 10 days to complete it and mail it back to him for evaluation. If
you attain a score of at least 80% he'll send you your signed Certificate!

Easy Steps to
CNC Programing Book II
By
David Hayden
Here
Dave takes you beyond the beginning in CNC programing - and he makes it sooooo
easy!
If
you don't know how to program CNC, you're behind the curve!
Soooo
. . . . Catch up!
Dave's
very successful 1st book "7 Easy Steps to CNC Programing" Taught you
how to program CNC machines quickly, at your own pace, and he made it easy!
Now he's ready to take you to the next stage! Are you ready? Yes? Let's go!
Did you miss that book? See my
eBay store for it, or for both books as a set!
If
you work in, supervise or manage a shop that has lathes, mills, EDM, routers,
burn tables etc., and you need or want to know more about CNC programming, this
book is for YOU!
According
to the 26th edition of Machinery's Handbook, "Over
80 percent of the dollars being spent on the most common types of machine tools,
namely drilling, milling, boring, and turning machines, are going to NC equipment-"
Oberg, Erik, et al, Machinery's Handbook, Edited, Christopher,
J. McCauley, Riccardo Heald, and Muhammed Iqbal Hussain' 26th ed. New York:
Industrial P, 2000.
In
short, if your shop doesn't use CNC equipment your losing business to shops
that do. If you work in a shop that has CNC equipment and you don't know how
to program CNC you're not making the money you could be making. You're behind
the curve and the other guys are getting ahead of you. Catch up!

Easy Steps to CNC Programming... Book II - Beyond the Beginning is a manual
specifically created for NC programmers, engineers, supervisors and other personnel
that support CNC operations. This easy to understand learning aid was designed
to maximize the readers retention. It features:
O
8 ½" by 11" single sided pages with generous amounts of white
space for jotting down important notes.
O
A detailed
table of contents for simple navigation and reference.
O
A detailed
index that references all CNC commands discussed.
O
Spiral
binding so it lays flat on any surface for convenient reading and note taking.
O
Dozens
of illustrations and examples to clarify complex concepts.
O
Numerous
color illustrations and examples to clarify complex concepts.
O
Most
common CNC control codes covering a majority of CNC controls. Including many
LATHE and MILL canned cycles
O
Utilizes
every day non-technical examples to explain otherwise complex subjects.
O
Provides
the necessary steps and instructions to go from a blueprint to a completed CNC
program.
Why
is it important for your employees to understand CNC programming? Consider the
following:
O
Engineers can more easily design for manufacture.
O
Supervisors can be of greater support to operators. Managers/Supervisors
can more reliably measure the quality of CNC programs.
O
Programmers using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems can more
reliably desk check programs before sending them to the shop.
O
Managers/Supervisors can feel more confident when discussing CNC related
issues.
O
Managers/Supervisors can garner more respect from CNC operators and programmers.
O
Well trained operators increase efficiency and profitability.
O
Well trained operators can more easily spot programming errors.
O
Well trained operators are less likely to scrap parts.
O
Well trained operators are less likely to have crashes and suffer personal
injury.
Typical
Hayden thoroughness and quality!
Excellent!
