Operating Information:

1. For the first time usage, the meter has to be charged for 2 hours straight first. Insert the USB connector to the USB Terminal located on the upper left side of the meter. Plug the USB Charger Adaptor to the wall socket and slide the switch on the upper-right side of the meter to move the slider to ON position. Charge the built-in rechargeable battery for 2 hours straight before you start using PHT-027.
2. If you need to measure the ph level of the solution, remove the electrode's cap and connect the BNC connector to the pH/ORP electrode input terminal located on the bottom part of the unit.
3. Immerse the electrode & probe in solution to be tested. Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize.
4. Press button to choose between °C or °F measure results. Press button see the EC, CF, or PPM measured results.
5. Replace PH electrode with ORP electrode if you need to measure ORP related measurements. Remove the electrode's cap and connect the BNC connector to the pH/ORP electrode input terminal located on the bottom part of the unit. Immerse the electrode in solution to be tested. Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize.
6. After using, turn off the meter. Rinse the electrode with distilled water to minimize contamination. Put back protective cap on to pH electrode.

 

Care and Maintenance: All the electrodes & probe are pre-calibrated or factory calibrated which means you can use it right away. But must be calibrated periodically to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. Electrodes & probes are both sensitive component of the meter. Correct calibration procedures combined with proper calibration maintenance will provide years of reliable measurement.

• PH Calibration
  • Immerse the electrode in PH 6.86 buffer (calibration) solution, and gently shake it.
  • Allow the reading to stabilize. Use the mini-screw driver to turn the "pH6.86" calibration knob until the displays show "6.86"pH. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot the end of the electrode with lint-free paper to remove excess water.
  • Immerse the electrode in pH4.01 buffer (calibration) solution until "4.01pH" appears. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot the end of the electrode with lint-free paper to remove excess water.
  • Immerse the electrode in pH9.18 buffer (calibration) solution until "9.18pH" appears. pH9.18 buffer solution is not included in the package.
    
    
• EC, CF, ppm calibration
• Press button, choose EC for operating. Immerse the meter in 12880µ s/cm (12.88EC) calibration solution. 12880µ s/cm or 12.88EC buffer solution is not included in the package.
• Allow the reading to stabilize. Use mini-screw driver turn the CAL Calibration knob until "12.88EC" appears. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and blot the end of the electrode with lint-free paper to remove excess water.
• Immerse the meter in "1413µ s/cm (1.41EC)" calibration solution until "1413(1.41EC)" shows. 1413µ s/cm or 1.41EC buffer solution is not included in the package.


• The instrument's pH range must be re-calibrated whenever:
• The electrode has not been in used or has been in the storage for 4 or 5 months from the last calibration
• the electrode has been in used very often in a day
• the electrode has been replaced
• the utmost accuracy is required
