72" Handmade carbon Steel Yari Spear w/ Slender Point

Yari is the Japanese term for spear, or more specifically, the straight-headed spear. The martial art of wielding the yari is called sōjutsu. This handmade spear is 72" overall and made of 1045 carbon steel. The spear point is a full foot long and just over an inch wide at the base. The upper 26 inches of the spear shaft has been lacquered a rich red-brown; the lower 38 inches have been lacquered a glossy black. For ease of shipping, the spear screws apart in the middle, as shown in photo four. No tools are required to put the spear together. It is of very good quality and well made. As with any weapon, the suitability or unsuitability for any use is the responsibility of the user. No use whatsoever is endorsed. This is new, no problems.
