You are bidding on a new 400VA toroidal transformer. It is precisely made for high-end high power tube amp. It has very low power loss and magnetic leak. Labeled input 115 + 115 Vac (Dual coils), outputs 360Vac x 2 (dual coils) at 500mA each, and output 6.3V x 2 at 5A each. This item has CE certified. Mounting hardware is included. The test results are excellent. (note: Please increase 10% of rated power when this transformer use in 60 Hz power source). For transformer covers, please visit our ebay store.

Open Circuit Test (core loss test):

TEST CONDITION: Apply variable voltage to primary coil (115V terminals) from 115-180VAC at 60Hz. No load on secondary coils.
1. Primary V = 120VAC, Primary I = .04A or core loss is 5Watt.
2. Primary V = 140VAC, Primary I = .09A

Short Circuit Test (copper loss test):

TEST CONDITION: Apply variable voltage to primary coil (115V terminals) from 1-20VAC at 60Hz and short circuit on secondary coils and test the primary voltage and current. The result is 6.3V and 3.45A or 22Watt which is the maximum rated copper loss

Dielectric Test:

TEST CONDITION: Apply dielectric meter between primary coils and secondary coils; and increase voltage up to 3500VAC. No initiate any spark.

Load Test Result:

TEST CONDITION: Input 115VAC 60Hz to the primary coil; parallel 2 secondary coils, 50 ohm 50W resistors as dummy load and room temperature at 25 degree C. Temperature rises 10 degree C after an hour test at load test #3.
1. Primary I = 0.04A, Secondary V = 365VAC at 0.0A, Power = 0 Watt
2. Primary I = 0.90A, Secondary V = 360VAC at 0.25A, Power = 90 Watt
3. Primary I = 3.95A, Secondary V = 342VAC at 1.20A, Power = 414 Watt
