These precision soft start high power 3-phase solid state motor control assemblies
started out life as a Siemens elevator controller that sold for
nearly $6000. We received these at auction and do not know their exact condition.
But we have tested all power semiconductors and optoisolators. Units may
otherwise be upgrade pulls or may have repair issues. All are in clean condition
and show no burns or other obvious abuse.
So, we have split out the "general use" high power portion of this device and are offering it
as a superb three phase 440 volt 130 amp 75 Horsepower high level power assembly.
These should be perfect high level device modules for your own custom motor controls,
industrial, robotics, or automation apps.
Offered here is a large 8x10x3 inch finned aluminum heatsink assembly with three premounted
Semikron SKKT 132/14E dual silicon control rectifier modules that are rated 1400 volts and
132 amperes. Current list price for these devices is over $100 each.. The dual SCR's and
phototriac optoisolators have been on-off retested by us at 110 vac and 100 watts.
Heavy plated bus bars ( three input and three output ) route to and from a pair of connectors
suitable for use up to 480 vac and 132 amperes. Four pin connectors and cables tie the
SCR's to an interface board. This interface board holds three current transformers (!)
and three optoisolator phototriacs used for translation and safety isolation. The phototriacs
also include inductive phase shift filters, attenuated line and load voltage sensing, and reverse
protection diodes. The board circuitry is both obvious and easily traced. Interface is by way
of a 16-pin flat cable pressure connector.
Pinouts on the green card cable are believed to be as follows...
Pin 1 -- Phase A optotriac isolator input TTL ground to activate.
Pin 2 -- Phase B optotriac isolator input TTL ground to activate.
Pin 3 -- Phase C optotriac isolator input TTL ground to activate.
Pin 4 -- "Board Present" and specific board ID resistor to pin 16.
Pin 5 -- Common ground for current transformers.
Pin 6 -- Input +5 vdc supply common for optotriacisolators.
Pin 7 -- Phase C current transformer output, MOV protected.
Pin 8 -- Phase B current transformer output, MOV protected.
Pin 9 -- Phase A current transformer output, MOV protected.
Pin 10 -- Phase C attenuated load voltage reference output.
Pin 11 -- Phase C attenuated supply voltage reference output..
Pin 12 -- Phase B attenuated load voltage reference output.
Pin 13 -- Phase B attenuated supply voltage reference output..
Pin 14 -- Phase A attenuated load voltage reference output.
Pin 15 -- Phase A attenuated supply voltage reference output..
Pin 16 -- "Board Present" and specific board ID resistor from pin 4.
Estimated value of this assembly as offered far exceeds $600, not counting installation and
configuration labor. Again, we guarantee all the dual SCR's and their phototriac
optoisolators will pass a limited on-off operation test. Guaranteed as described. Fifteen day
inspection privelege. Buyer pays all shipping.
Can also be used as three separate single phase units. Can be used for large
dimmers, but may require noise filtering chokes and phase delay mods..

IMPORTANT NOTE: Unit primarily consists of three phase control
thyristors and is intended for soft start, overload sensing, phase
detection, and similar motor control applications. Unit does NOT
provide a variable output frequency for speed control, NOR any power
factor correction.
