This 8-bay Serial ATA enclosure provides a fast and easy way for PC or Mac users to add up to Eight 3.5" SATA hard drives or 5.25" SATA OPTICAL drives (CD/DVD burners) with only 2 eSATA outputs to their system. Two 1m eSATA cables and a RAID-5 PCI-X card are included.The sleek looking case features a 300w power supply with THREE high capacity QUIET cooling fans to keep the drives running cool.

RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 0+1 (mirrored-stripping), RAID 5 (Distributed Parity RAID) and JBOD (Just Bunch of Disks) manage multiple disk drives to enhance I/O performance and provide redundancy in order to withstand the failure of any individual member, without the loss of data.

High speed 3GBPS eSATA connectivity makes this device great for graphic design, video and audio editing/backup and comes in a size to fit any type of storage requirement.
