Hatching eggs. As a Heritage breed, the Bourbon Red

is self-propagating. These are big, healthy, hardy birds.

The Bourbon Red is an excellent choice for both meat and

eggs. They are prolific layers, good setters and wonderful

mothers. These are calm, friendly birds; they are good

foragers and really enjoy all of your garden scraps.

Turkeys do require a good quality, high protein feed and

plenty of fresh water. We collect our eggs several

times a day and turn them twice daily.

      The eggs are packed with lots of TLC. Each is

individually wrapped in bubble wrap and well packed in the

box with plenty of crumpled newspaper. The boxes are

marked "FRAGILE" on all four sides and sent Priority

Mail. Shipping includes Delivery Confirmation and I will

send you an email with that # after the eggs have been

sent. We exercise every caution to send you fresh, fertile

eggs, but you must realize that I cannot guarantee your

hatch. There are just too many variables involved in both

shipping and incubating eggs. I have no control over how

these eggs are handled  once they are delivered to the

Post Office.

      When the eggs arrive, they should be unpacked

immediately. Please allow them to rest at room

temperature for at least 8-10 hours before placing in an

already heated incubator or setting under a broody hen.

      I accept PayPal ONLY for egg auctions. These eggs will 

be ready to ship first thing Saturday a.m., so you need to

pay for them right away!!! *** NO echecks-- they take

too long to clear and these are FRESH eggs.***

      We have encountered several buyers this year who do not seem to understand the urgency of paying for hatching eggs. We place ads as the hens are laying. This means that we will have fresh, fertile eggs, ready to ship, when the auction ends. However, when the winning bid is not paid, I can't ship the eggs.  It is not in my best interest, or  yours, to send out  eggs days after the close of auction. That is unfortunately  what happens if a bidder waits days to pay.
