These engines have a top speed of about 35 MPH depending on various factors(pretty fast on a bicycle). Average mileage ranges from 100-150 MPG!

This kit comes with every thing that you'll need to convert any regular 26" single speed or multi speed mountain bike into a motorized bike. You'll still be able to pedal the bike and ride like normal or start the engine by releasing the clutch lever. There's no rope pulling needed. You can stop or start the engine as you ride. Twist grip hand throttle controls speeds from 35 to 40/mph depending on the gear ratio. This installation kit comes with a 44 tooth 9 hole chrome racing sprocket with easy to install 9 bolt universal mounting hardware that clamps over the rear wheel hub and spokes. This creates a totally independent drive sprocket and chain that does not interfere with your current drive chain or peddling.
With the built in clutch you maintain full function of the original bike. Pedal, shift, and ride your bike like normal. The engine kit only adds about 19lbs to your bike. When you want to engage the engine simply release the clutch hand lever and the engine springs to life. To power off simply press the included kill switch.
Required:
1. Requires basic mechanics and simple tools
2. It takes about a few hours to install while using easy to follow detailed instructions (included). Additional instructions are available only upon a customer's request.

The following is a contribution from Gunnar "Viking in Homosassa" (one of our customers) :
"Here are my photos of my bike with your engine installed."
"So far, I've ridden my bike about 150 KM on its new engine - without a hiccup or problem of any kind. I'm still on the 16-to-1 ratio and running about 25 mph ( 40 kph) max when I dare! considering that I'm right at 290 lbs, that's not bad!" (see picture below).

The following are examples of customizations and changes made by Gunner:
"1) The sprocket - by far the most worrisome: In order to get the mounting bolts for the sprocket to clear the coaster brake arm, I had to countersink the 9 bolt holes in the sprocket and install flathead machine bolts - which worked splendidly. Also - I had to drill out the center hole in the sprocket to accomodate the dust cover on the rear wheel bearing" (see picture below).
"2) The front motor mount: because the frame tube was larger than the designed motor mount - and because I had to raise the motor due to water bottle mounts on the other frame member - I needed to fabricate an entirely new motor mount for the front of the engine. Remember to use Loctite or Nylok nuts on all rig-ups!" (see picture below).
"3) The exhaust pipe needed to be straightened to accomodate the new front motor mount - a simple torch-and-wiggle maneuver." (see picture below)
"And now a few hints:
1) Touch the tips of the sprocket teeth with a file - to make the chain settle quietly onto the sprocket - rather than jump off. The chrome on the sprocket takes up space...
2) Hookup the kill switch wire to whatever wire is NOT BLACK OR WHITE coming from the engine! [just tap it into the connectors where they connect] (in my case into green!!! - sometimes its blue) Nobody seems to want to tell you that!
3) You'll wear your heart (and body) out trying to start your bike if you don't realize the the choke is ON when its lever is UP - halfway up is about right for starters. First things first, however: be sure to press the little "tickler" button down(on the left side of the carburetor) until gas bubbles up & out - then you've got the carburetor primed for starting. So, once you've got the carburetor "tickled" and your choke set to 1/2, go peddle your heart out and watch your machine burst to life! Surely a thrill! Twas for me."
