1984 Olympics IOC Leather Portfolio Baron Pierre de Coubertin Style (The French Barron Who Started the Modern Olympics in 1890) Official International Olympic Committee Leather Strapped-Portfolio with Brass Buckle made by Strong Leather, Inc. (Manufactures & Importers of Fine Leather Goods) and Designed for the 88th Session Of the International Olympic Committee for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. New unused condition with original IOC-Logo Pencil, a Photo replica cover for a July 1984 Date Book and 4-1984 88th Olympics high grade Cotto- Rag Postcards designed by Arnold Schwartzman Academy Award Winning Filmmaker and Designer for the 1984 Olympics. No damage, slight surface marring, no stains, rips, or watermarks, the brass buckle has a small copper patina developing and has left two very small copper color marks where the buckle meets the portfolio. The size is approx. 12" x 10" and unfolds to approx. 28". This Portfolio is a reproduction of the one used by Baron Pierre de Coubertin,recognized as the originator of the IOC. The original is housed in the IOC Museum, Lausanne, Switerland. This was found at an Estate Sale in Los Angeles and most probably was owned by a person who was an IOC committee member in the area. The Back is Stamped with a "copywrite 1984 LA. Olympic Committee and Trademark". The Front has an embossed Olympic-Logo from the 88th IOC Session Los Anteles 1984. Made of Cowhide by 'Strong' |
