This exhaust-type safety shutoff valve can be used in the ARO M2000 series modular arrangement or in-line with any air line component. ARO safety lockout valves meet OSHA lockout/tagout regulation 1910.147 which requires protection from unexpected start-up of a machine during service or maintenance. The safety shutoff valve should be installed upstream of air operated equipment for isolating and depressurizing the downstream air system, allowing safe maintenance of the equipment. The valve operates by pushing the lever down (closed position), exhausting downstream air. The valve may be locked in the exhausted position (5/16" diameter hole). When using the valve in the modular arrangement, it is secured to the unit with a modular connector kit (104167) or T-type modular wall bracket (104171).
