We
encourage you to review our About
Me page for information on how to see our montage demos and to compare
our work to the others.
We DO NOT use a set-top (VCR style) DVD recorder to encode and author the
DVD. Therefore, precise chapter markers can be placed and more thoughtful,
personalized menus can be created. We use the exact same multi-thousand dollar
software and hardware that Hollywood studios employ to ensure professional
results.

This auction
is for the FxF transfer of 50 feet of silent 8mm / Super 8mm Film to DVD.
This is an eBay SPECIAL intended to provide you with a SAMPLE of a professional
Frame-by-Frame, flicker free transfer of ONE 3 inch, 50 ft. reel of film.
If you intend to place more than 50 ft. of film on a single disc, please do
not bid on this auction. Visit our eBay store to purchase the total amount
of footage for your complete project. We can then place all of your film on
a single DVD or multiple DVDs in a "Box-Set". One DVD will hold
approximately 1800 ft. of film.
Our eBay store
permits you to purchase film transfer services in various amounts from 50
ft. to 1000 ft. You can purchase a single item or multiples of the same item
to add up to your toal footage. You do not have to make your purchase based
on the size of your film reels. Simply make your purchase based on your
footage. e.g., if your have a total of 650 ft., you should purchase
(1) 400 ft. (1) 200 ft. and (1) 50 ft. film transfer service; even if
all of your film is on the small three inch reels.

GUARANTEE:
For
the past 7 years, we have maintained a 100% DVD compliancy rating. That's
why we guarantee your DVD to be free of defects for 12 months,
issuing you a FREE replacement if it fails to play for any reason

in a hot car). If the disc is rendered non-playable after this 12 month
period, a new DVD can be issued for a nominal charge. Because we archive
every customer's project, there is no need for sending your original
assets to us again. Replacement or additional DVDs can be created at

Our experienced
technicians make sure that your frame-by-frame transfer will look as good
as it can by utilizing our professional software to its maximum. They enusre
that exposure and color issues are corrected prior to transferring the video
to your DVD. Here are actual samples of underexposed and poorly colored frames
that have been corrected, showing BEFORE and AFTER examples.

IF YOU'RE
LOOKING FOR A GREAT GIFT THAT THE ENTIRE FAMILY WILL ENJOY FOR MANY YEARS,
SEND US YOUR OLD MOVIE FILM. YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE QUALITY OF THE NEW FRAME-BY-FRAME
TRANSFER PROCESS WHEN SEEN ON YOUR LARGE SCREEN TV OR HOME THEATER (DLP or
HDTV) PROJECTOR.
- Despite
some speckles and other film artifacts due to age (40+ years old),
notice the clarity and vividness in color of our frame by frame method.
- Although
we CAN process (via frame by frame) and synchronize film that contains
sound, you are bidding on the conversion of up to 50 feet of silent
(16mm, Regular 8mm or Super 8mm) movie film
to high quality DVD.
- 50
feet is the equivalent of one (1) THREE
INCH movie reel.
|
-
For
navigational ease in viewing your DVD, we will create a title menu,
a chapter selection menu with motion thumbnails, and add a music
soundtrack.

We place chapters breaks in logical places, based on film content, with pinpoint
precision. For example, we might place a chapter right between a Christmas
scene and a backyard BBQ scene, even if they happen to be on the same reel
of film. This way you can jump directly to the exact scene you'd like,
just like you jump to your favorite song on a CD. We would NEVER place a chapter
break 10 seconds before the aforementioned Christmas scene ends, as might
be the case with some other studios who use a set-top DVD recorder to perform
a film transfer.
AUDIO
COMMENTARY:
Feel free to contact us
if you would like to add your own commentary track to your DVD film
project. We will send you a "scratch disc", allowing you to preview
your film and provide you with instructions on how to record your own
commentary, identifying people, places, and events as the movie plays
on the screen. A commentary track provides a means for future generations
to identify more closely with the people and events in the movie. Switching
between the music track and the commentary track is as simple as hitting
the AUDIO button on your DVD remote control. No one will ever forget
Who's Who in the family again!

Common DVD Related
Glossary Terms
- Amaray Case - A plastic
clamshell type case designed for DVD discs to differentiate them from
CDs and to protect them. It is similar to clamshell cases used for
VHS cassettes, but it is wider and thinner. See
a picture!
- Chapter Menu - In DVD-Video, a division of a
Title. Technically called "part of title (PTT)". Therefore the chapter
menu provides the viewer access to parts of the title, just like the

is on the actual DVD.
- Motion Thumbnail - A small,

GrafXpress Digital Studios provides professional conversion
of VHS tape, 8mm video, Mini DV video, 16mm and 8mm film movies, and
35mm slides to DVD. Once your older media is converted to DVD it will last for
generations. In addition, DVDs make your media easier to enjoy and they take
up less storage space.
VIDEO
Although
VHS videotapes were very popular during the last two decades, they are now being
replaced rapidly with DVDs. The newer technology provides unsurpassed quality
in video and audio. The audio on many Hollywood DVDs is usually encoded with
a 5.1 channel audio track, making it sound as if you're in the middle of all
the action. Pick out your favorite family VHS tapes and have GrafXpress convert
them to DVD now before the quality degrades any further. You will find that
our prices provide you with the best value over many other studios.

Blow
the dust off those old shoe boxes in the attic containing the reels
of 8 mm movies that your dad took when you were kids. Although these are treasures
in themselves, it's an effort to drag out the old projector and screen, set
it up, thread the film for a new reel and spend hours flicking the lights on
and off as you exchange reels. Wouldn't you get more enjoyment from watching
these on a DVD played on your television? Once the films are transferred, you
will be able to navigate easily, jumping from "reel" to "reel" with the touch
of a button. Furthermore, we could collaborate with you to create your own commentary
track for your DVD. One DVD will hold approximately 2 hours of your 8mm footage.
We can make multiple copies of the finished DVD so other family members can
enjoy it also.

35mm SLIDES
35 mm slides provided everyone in the room an opportunity to view all those snapshots together. Families were entertained with the large photos as they popped up in succession on the large screen. With a DVD player connected to an LCD or CRT Projector, you can enjoy these same pictures on the big screen. If you don't have a projector, watch them on your large screen TV right from your DVD player. GrafXpress has the technology to transfer all your slides to a DVD and add a 5.1 channel audio track to make the viewing a little more enjoyable.
Archive 35mm slides to a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM for viewing, sending to friends and family via email, or printing.
