The quality of historic images are always subject to the capabilities of the original photographer. Some historic images are very sharp and clear, while others may be blurred, over/under exposed or, in some cases, double-exposed. We do not attempt to fix, enhance or in any way disturb the original photo content, as we feel the eccentricities of these photos add to their historic charm. Therefore, the image quality of all prints will be determined by the limitations of the original photographic image.
GREAT GIFT!
Excellent addition to your Civil War collection.
FAQ:
How do I know your image description is accurate?
We strive to make our photo descriptions as accurate as possible. Descriptions are taken directly from the U.S. Library of Congress (where applicable). In many cases the Library of Congress holds the original photo and states exactly what the original photographer ascribed to his/her image. Therefore, the Library of Congress is our standard of authority on ALL applicable image descriptions. We are not responsible for errors and we will not participate validity disputes. Should you have a dispute, please contact the Library of Congress directly.
Be sure to review the image carefully and be certain of your purchase BEFORE you bid, as no refunds will be issued on the basis of disputes in photo content. If you are in doubt as to the accuracy of the description - JUST DON'T BID. Thank you.
When can I expect my package?
Items are delivered via USPS First Class mail (2-5 business days) with no longer than one (1) day handling time. Your item should not be considered untimely unless it has not been delivered after one full week from your payment date. Please consider weekends and holidays when anticipating your package arrival date as well.
Is your transit packaging secure?
Great care will be taken to ensure that your item arrives in excellent condition. Prints are shipped flat on cardboard and sealed in a water-resistant envelope (in some cases, a crush-resistant tube). We have shipped thousands of prints in this manner and found it to be very reliable. Because of this, we have every reason to believe our packaging methods are superior and can not be responsible for damage sustained after the package has left our care. For maximum protection, shipping insurance is offered and recommended for an additional $2.00.
How long do I have to pay?
Payment is expected within (7) seven days. This 7 day period may be used to acquire multiple items for the multiple item shipping discount. If 7 days is insufficient, please submit your payment and we will hold your shipment until you have acquired all your desired purchases. The multiple item discount will be applied on all items shipped together.
Should a payment issue arise, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE to contact us. We are happy to work with you! We WILL leave negative feedback for non-paying buyers.
Do you offer a multiple-item shipping discount?
Yes. The discount is as follows: Full shipping charge for the first item and $2.00 off each additional. Again, If longer than 7 days is needed to acquire multiple items, we ask that you pay for your purchased items by or on the 7th day and we will hold your shipment until all items can be obtained. The multiple items discount will be applied to all items shipped together.
Why is the shipping so high on extra items?
One of our goals is to be the most competitively-priced image retailers available. Our pricing structure is a staple towards achieving this. By incorporating a portion of the item price into our shipping charges, we save tremendously on seller fees, and we pass these savings right on to you. Without this structure, you can expect to pay 3 times as much for the same image. This is evidenced by a quick search; the result will yield that our images are generally 3 times less-expensive than our nearest competitor.
If you would like more information on this, please do not hesitate to contact us. We’re confident in our commitment to affordable, quality images.
If I contact you, will it take a long time for a reply?
Absolutely not! You can always expect a reply to any question or concern within a few HOURS. If you have not heard a reply, please write again. We’ve found that eBay’s messaging system is far from 100% reliable, and we might not have received your message. If you continue experiencing contact issues, please e-mail us directly at service@victoriaheilshorn.com.
What is your return policy?
We will happily exchange any defective or problematic merchandise. However, cash refunds are not allowed, as your bid is a COMMITMENT to buy according to eBay policy. Therefore, please be confident of your desire for items BEFORE you bid. Also, this return policy does NOT include damage sustained during the shipping process, as this is beyond our control. It is the buyer's responsibility to purchase shipping insurance -- again, SHIPPING INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED. We ask that you please contact us with any potential issue BEFORE leaving negative feedback, as we are committed to your 100% satisfaction and feel any problem can easily be resolved.
What can I expect if I leave you bad feedback?
Beginning February 20, 2008, eBay will institute a new policy which will seriously limit the seller’s ability to post accurate feedback. While we have no reason to believe this will hinder our highly rated eBay status, we must institute the following policy to insure that the doors of mediation remain open should an issue arise. Therefore, all buyers who leave negative or neutral feedback comments will be blocked from future transactions, and any existing open transactions will be cancelled - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Again, we urge you to contact us with any potential issues before leaving feedback. We can not fix a problem if we do not know about it. We’re ALWAYS happy to work with you and want your experience with us to be above and beyond your expectations!
