I designed this to be made with affordable common materials without compromising function. This allows me to charge a reasonable price. This is NOT a high tech propietary design, it's a bare bones, no frills unit with NO $350 repalcement light bulbs, NO $2500 initial price, NO complicated installation(installation should take about a half an hour), but will allow you to accomplish your goals.
The majority of construction(exterior supports, interior brackets and flanges) is extruded or milled aluminum, the panels are made of Euclaboard(a light weight hardened fiber board). The negative holder is two piece glass and could easily be masked for 5x7. The light box utilizes nine commonly available cold light full spectrum elements with an acrylic diffuser.
This model is optimized to work with the Beseler 45 V-XL and a 240mm or 210mm lens, this will provide the capability to produce 20x24 enlargements with the standard baseboard, larger with a dropped baseboard. For those of you that use a Beseler 45 M-Series a variable baseboard is necessary for similar results.
Enlargers and Lenses NOT included!
Included are: 1 - Adaptor Unit

I've had quite a few inquiries about this unit working on Omega D-Series enlargers. I have since calculated design modifications necessary to accommodate Omega D's. However there are some limitations to this unit on an Omega D, they are:
1 - The upper lamphouse arms need to be bent out of the way or removed(cut off).
2 - Because the Omega doesn't utilize a two section bellows like the Beselers, the unit has to be made to a fixed focal length, either 210mm or 240mm.
3 - Because the Omega has a narrow angled column you will be limited to 3.25 inches of travel on the 210mm model and 4.25 inches of travel on th 240mm model. A variable height baseboard will be necessary because of the limited travel.
4 - On the 210mm model the focus rails contact the unit 1 inch from the top of the focus range(shouldn't be an issue in most cases).
Because of these limitations the Omega unit will be a custom order(prepaid) and take 3-4 weeks.
