On May 6, 1966, Bud Gardner started building his brand of beautiful surfboards, on May 6, 2009, Bud Gardner started his 44th year of building his brand of beautiful surfboards and in all that time, he has personally shaped and colored each and every one of them. He is one of the last original surfboard builders from the 60's still building superior surfboards and was honored in 2007 by being nominated for Induction into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame in the Pioneer Surfboard Builders Division for 2008.

9' 1" Bud Gardner Surfboard, built since 1966. Authentic original. All color work done in colored, pigmented resin with clear gloss coat, highly polished. Built Using Superior "Clark Foam" blanks. 2" Balsawood stringer, Volan fiberglass, laminated wood and fiberglass tail block, 50/50 Egg rails, wood laminated skeg with glass bead. Dimensions -- 22" wide, 16" nose, 15 1/2" hips, 5 1/2" square tail, 3 1/2" thick. Mint perfect condition, absolutely flawless. This surfboard was built and colored by Bud Gardner. "I built this board all myself, even made the skeg. I just wanted to do another one.
