Up for auction are 9 used "Tally-Ho Beer" tip beer trays. I think from the 1940's. All the trays have a picture of 4 horses pulling a stage coach with 4 riders
and read "Tally-Ho Beer" across the center of the tray and "CITY BREWING CORPORATION NEW YORK CITY" across the bottom.
Made out of painted on metal, with some type of a paint process, [silk screen, transfer, lithograph, baked on, or who knows ?] they're 4 1/4" in diameter and 9/16" high.
All are in used but quite good condition with normal "wear and tear" chips and scratches, but no dents or rust that I can see.
All but one have a few signs of light brown, sort of circular stains, probably from cigarettes.
Thanks for looking, Andy.
