9 X 10 GRAY/ LAVENDER FISHING FLOAT FISH NET BUOY

This is a 9' x 10' piece of fishing net we beachcombed on the Washington coast (8-29-08)! The diamond pattern measures about 2" squares and the gray cord with a hint of lavender color (especially in the sun) the netting is made with is about 1/16" wide.  It is in used condition and is not like the new stuff everyone is selling. The color is fading and there are some minor white patches from the fishermen patching holes but only minor and adds to the authenticity of the netting. Remember that this stuff probably caught Salmon or some other fish at one time. Lucky for us it broke loose from its floats and wash up on the beach! There is a musty smell or ocean smell from the netting being in the salt water but can be easily washed in a sink of soap or Simple Green works great. Gets rid of the smell all together! We have washed the seaweed and sand from this netting but have not used soap. There could be minor holes here and there. We check every piece but we have been known to miss them. You kinda get dizzy looking at netting for 8 hours while prepping it for sale!

We will be listing heavier guage netting after we wash and dry it the first time. It takes a while and is time consuming. It would look great in a room with a nautical theme, poolside, porch, or for decoration of your choice.
