This auction is for a very rare copy of A Cry from the Middle Passage or The Act of 1846 and It's Effects on the Slave Trade.  I can not find any record of another copy of this important work currently or recently available.  I can only find it referenced in the bibliographies of other writings. 

I am not a professional book seller/grader but I will describe the condition as accurately as possible.  I have included several large photos to try to let you see the condition for yourself.  Please feel free to email with questions.

The cover is an ornamentally embossed brown cloth cover with gilt print on the side.  For age, it and the entire book is in VG+ condition.  There is minor wear/irregularity of the yellow endpages with very light foxing.  The edges of the pages are gilt and the book is exceptionally tight and clean for age.  The two very disturbing fold out maps at the back, depicting optimal loading of slave cargo on the ship, are in fine condition and suitable for framing.
