This 25 page booklet was designed for visitors to use as a guide to the Nikko area. It contains many beautiful pictures of the area, points of interest and information about the sites. This is a publication that my parents brought back form Japan in 1963, when they visited together. My father had been working for our government over there in 1949/50 and fell in love with the country and her people. Over the years many of the people he met and worked with while he was in Japan, came to America on business and visited with our family. They dreamed of gong there sometime and in 1963 they made that special and wonderful trip. This is a beautiful book of interest to anyone interested in visiting Japan or just to learn about the area and supply fodder for dreams. Hopefully one day I too will get to Japan and visit the wonderful Teddy Bear museums that are among the wonders that the country has to offer. My hope is that the wonders of all of these items will become treasure to another generation. The Japan of these books is a Japan of History. It is a country of pure grace and beauty, serenity and wonder. Reading through any of these will allow you to step back into a time and a world long gone, but must not be allowed to be lost. This Japan was not an industrial country, as we know it, but something so very special and more than worth experiencing. Traveling to Japan will not share this with you, but a good glimpse is here for the taking. These items will not have any real reductions other than what I am doing now and that is lowering prices throughout the the store. Please enjoy the treat that owning and handling any of these and the other items that will eventually be listed here, is sure to bring you. Thank You NOTE Not only is this a beautiful publication that is pure delight to read or even just glance through. It makes a wonderful coffee table piece in todays "Asian culture society" but will also be helpful to your child as he learns of Japan in school. This is Japan of almost 50 years ago, something that can never been seen again. Share this beautiful large book with your family and friends. It is a true treasure in all senses of the word-Japan as it only now exists in books and film, not the commercial Japan of today but the beautiful serene Japan of another era |
