Location of Mineral Deposit: FRANKLIN MINES, FRANKLIN, NEW JERSEY

Description: These specimens are very rare and this Manganaxinite has a real nice Cherry Red Fluorescent color under a Shortwave Ultraviolet Light. The Manganaxinites are from the Franklin Mine, Franklin, NJ and are very very rare. These specimens are not dump collected and are fresh, unweathered mine run material.

For more information on this specimen, check out page 42 in an outstanding book called "Collecting FLUORESCENT MINERALS"    by Stuart Schneider 2004 edition.
